Design and Build Quality
We’ve been using the Vivo V29 for a while, and we’re impressed by its design and performance. We love its design and feel – especially the smooth and shiny back that keeps the phone clean and glossy. The phone is also strong and sturdy, thanks to the metal frame.
The screen is large and beautiful, covering almost the whole front. It tends to make us feel like we’re in the scene. Plus, there’s a fingerprint scanner and a 3.5mm headphone jack.
Display
The Vivo V29 has a gorgeous 6.78-inch AMOLED display that delivers stunning visuals with 1260 x 2800 pixels. We love that it is so fluid and responsive, with an incredible 120Hz refresh rate. It is also clear and visible on bright sunny days.
The display is also protected by the tough and durable Corning Gorilla Glass 5. You don’t have to worry about any scratches or cracks on the screen.
Hardware and Performance
We have been enjoying the phone’s power and performance. The Vivo V29 runs on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 5G chipset, making it fast and smooth for multitasking and gaming. We got the 8GB RAM + 128GB variant, enough to run most apps and games.
The phone has an amazing refresh rate that makes gaming more fun and immersive. Plus, it’s got a liquid cooling system that prevents it from getting too hot or slowing down. And we appreciate that it has a 3.5mm headphone jack that lets us connect our favorite audio devices.
Cameras
The Vivo V29 has a great camera system that lets us capture amazing photos and videos. The back of the phone has four cameras: a 50 MP main camera that takes sharp and detailed photos in any light, an 8 MP ultrawide camera that captures more of a scene, a 2 MP macro camera that reveals the beauty of small things, and a 2 MP depth sensor that adds a nice bokeh effect.
The front of the phone has a 50 MP selfie camera that makes us look fabulous in every shot, even in low light. We also use it for face unlock, video calls, and live streaming on social media.
Battery Life and Charging
The Vivo V29 has a large 4600 mAh battery that keeps us going all day long. It also supports 80W fast charging, which can charge the phone from 0 to 100% in just 35 minutes. The battery efficiently sustains us throughout the day, ensuring reliable performance even during demanding tasks.
Software
The V29 has a smooth and user-friendly software experience, thanks to Android 13 and Funtouch OS 13. The phone is free of annoying bloatware or ads and runs fast and fluidly. It also has some features, such as gestures and voice controls, making your life easier and more convenient. You can tap, swipe, or speak to the phone to perform various actions.
Should You Buy the Vivo V29?
We highly recommend the Vivo V29 to anyone looking for a mid-range phone with some flagship features. You’ll love the beautiful AMOLED screen and a Snapdragon 778G 5G processor, which makes it fast and smooth.
It also has a 50MP quad-camera and a 50MP selfie camera that lets you take amazing photos and videos. The battery life is impressive, and the 80W wired charging is very convenient. Plus, the phone is great for multitasking and gaming.
The only dealbreaker for us is it doesn’t support wireless charging. For that, you might want to check out the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE.
