Design and Build Quality
We’ve got our hands on the Galaxy A34 5G, and we’re impressed by its large 6.6-inch display that covers most of the front. The edges are slim, and the notch is barely noticeable. Plus, the back is curved, making the phone easy to hold.
The phone is made with recycled materials, a nice touch from Samsung to be more eco-friendly. However, it doesn’t feel premium or sturdy. It’s a good thing it has an IP67 rating to survive some splashes and dust.
Display
The Galaxy A34 5G wowed us with its 6.6-inch FHD+ Super AMOLED screen. It’s smooth and responsive, thanks to its 120Hz refresh rate. It’s also bright enough to see clearly under the sun with a peak brightness of 1000 nits.
We also appreciated the Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the display, which makes it more resilient and scratch-proof.
Hardware and Performance
In our first week with the Galaxy A34 5G, we’re amazed by its performance. The MediaTek Dimensity 1080 chipset is fast and smooth whether we’re switching between apps or playing games.
The Galaxy A34 5G also comes with 8GB of RAM, which is plenty for casual users. It has two storage options: 128GB and 256GB, which you can expand via a microSD card. Thanks to the liquid cooling system, the phone was cool and stable, even when we pushed it hard.
Cameras
We also enjoyed the flexible triple-camera setup on the back. We’re able to take clear and crisp photos in bright light and snap pictures of tiny things.
The front has a 13MP selfie camera, which does a good job of taking selfies and unlocking the phone with facial recognition. However, the video quality isn’t very impressive.
Battery Life and Charging
We love the long-lasting 5000 mAh. It could keep up with our daily activities, from browsing to gaming, without running out of juice. It also has a 25W fast charging that fills up the battery from 0% to 50% in half an hour.
The only downside is the phone does not have wireless charging or reverse wireless charging, features that we wish it had.
Software
The Galaxy A34 5G runs on Android 13 with One UI 6, Samsung’s user-friendly and feature-rich software that enhances the overall user experience. It is one of the phone’s strengths, as it offers a lot of functionality and personalization options.
Should You Buy the Samsung Galaxy A34 5G?
The Galaxy A34 5G is a mid-range phone that offers a lot of value for money, considering its features and performance. It is one of the best options for anyone who wants a 5G-ready phone that can handle anything, from gaming to photography to productivity.
So, should you buy the Galaxy A34 5G? Well, that depends on your preferences and priorities. If you are looking for a phone with a stunning display and 5G connectivity, and you don’t mind the plastic back, then the Galaxy A34 5G might be the phone for you.
